bought this HDD thinking that WD is the best HD manufacturer, with very high quality standards, after two days of use i went to a friends house and accidentaly drop the hdd to the floor from a distance of 30 cms …… It never worked again, i tried everyhing ! New Format.disks repairs, partitions… And nothing.. All I could safe were 12 gb of the whole 1000 gb. I was really dissappointed with this product. Know ing it was A PORTABLE HDD it is veeery delicate and sensible to damage ! So if you plan to take it for a bus travel or walk.. For get it it is a portable hdd from your pc to your night table. I would advice to buy a pillow or something to place it in a very safe place.

I’ve had this product for over a month now and I’ve been using it almost every night to backup files from my laptop. I was a little nervous because all of the hard drives I looked at seemed to have problems. So far, I haven’t had any problems with it – I plug it in and Time Machine (I have a Mac) takes care of everything for me. I’m satisfied with this product and would recommend it.
