Seagate only allows one computer unless you purchase a license to use on another computer.How to use the WD on my lap top(vista) and my desk top(W7) on different occasions?
Western Digital WD Elements 500 GB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive is usable on multiple PC’s.
I don’t have an answer but I would like one. I have two computers to “service”. I don’t want to buy two backup external hard drives. Can this one be partitioned in two, one for each computer? Has anyone had any experience with it? Gromer
I will add, right or wrong, that a computer tech support guy I was talking to on another issue said that it was possible to partition the single external backup hard drive and use with two separate PCs. However, I think it was easy for him to say that. I want confirmation before I plunk down the $. Gromer
